Photo Editing...

This is the picture I have chosen to use for the interview with the solo artist similar to Janis Joplin. I chose this picture because it is very natural looking. I like the way in which the rust dress gives a 60s feel. I also thought that this picture was most similar to pictures of Janis Joplin I will upload at a later date which will too be used for an interview, but a ''lost'' one from Joplin herself.

Editing.
Using Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, I made the image black and white to start the editing process. I simply lowered the saturation to minimum.

I think posterized by image by clicking adjustments and that posterize. I then set to a level 13/14.

To get this green tint to the image, I clicked Enhance, Adjust Colour, Add Green, Darken. Close. Same path again, Add Red, Darken.
I think adjusted the saturation of about half of it's usual colour to get a colour similar to the one in which I edited the Janis Joplin image on my front page.
I plan to edit all of the images in my magazine in this way to keep to the house style.
